INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC FOR THE MODERN WORLD

Deane Nesbitt Jr. is a Canadian composer, recording artist and film score writer. His music has been aired on more than 300 radio stations across North America and has been performed in Toronto at Massey Hall, Nathan Phillips Square and the Canadian National Exhibition by the Canada Pops Orchestra. It has also been performed in Toronto by The Royal Regiment of Canada in a special concert in tribute to the veterans of World War I, entitled Till the Boys Come Home.

Deane’s compositions are the soundtracks for two recent short films, Change for Chimps, featuring Jane Goodall, and Legacy of War, featuring veterans of World War II and original footage from the war. An American reviewer, Phil Maq, has given the Philby Award to Deane’s two most recent CDs, Music in Search of a Movie and Soundtracks in the Sand, for being among the 100 best CDs of 2015 and 2019, respectively.

CHANGE FOR CHIMPS

Change for Chimps, featuring Dr. Jane Goodall, which has won an award for Most Uplifting Film at a film festival in Baltimore, Maryland, and an award for Best Family Film at a film festival in Saint John, NB.

LEGACY OF WAR

Legacy of War, featuring veterans of World War II and original film footage from the War. The film was screened on November 11 at the Canadian War Museum, in observance of Remembrance Day.
